He attended St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, where he pursued his undergraduate studies while actively volunteering with displaced immigrants and at-risk youth. His dedication to academics and public service earned him recognition as the Outstanding Criminal Justice Student in his graduating class.

Sergio went on to attend St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he was selected for the prestigious Clinical Program. As a student attorney, he gained hands-on courtroom and client advocacy experience, guiding individuals through the legal system and building a strong foundation for trial-level representation.

After earning his law degree, Sergio gained valuable experience working within the criminal justice system, where he handled a wide range of cases and developed a deep understanding of how cases are built and prosecuted.
